Paint Job Pg 4

Well you learn something everyday, I learned that it takes a lot of patience, which I don’t have, to do this. Since it was the first time I tried to follow an existing line with the pin striper I found it to be very difficult to say the least. I had to wipe off the stripe several times and finally gave in late at night. The next morning curiosity got the better of me and I tried to take some of the areas off and redo them. I found that the pin stripping paint from HOK can be removed as long as you do not catalyze it, which I had not done. I was able to remove some of the areas and redo them which made me a little happier. Still not exactly happy with them, but for my first attempt they are not too bad (Fig. 10). Once I was finished fiddling with them I then clear coated the entire part again and waited for it to dry and then wet sanded again and then the final coats of clear were applied. All in all, they turned out ok. I learned a lot from this paint job and the next should be even better.
